“Calling all former Convent School girls of Furness”.  A new book is being written about the Convent Schools, their teachers and their pupils.  Alice Leach would be grateful to any attendees who would like to write about their memories of Convent School days, to contact her.  Older pupils may have attended the Holker Street Convent School, (now the headquarters of the British Legion).  Others may have been pupils at the mixed non-denominational Convent School in Lightburn Avenue, Ulverston, or Crosslands Convent - Our Lady’s (1929-1979)
